Rev. Richard C. Grauman

Pastor

Rev. Richard C. Grauman began his professional life in kinesiology and graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 1987. He spent two decades in healthcare, working closely with young adults and seniors recovering from head injuries. After 9/11 and a transformative mission trip to Africa, Richard felt a deeper call and entered seminary part-time while continuing full-time work. He earned his M.Div. from San Francisco Theological Seminary in 2010 and received the Alumni Fellowship Award, which allowed him to travel to Israel.

Richard was ordained in 2015 and has joyfully served his first and only call at Cross Wood United Church of Christ. A passionate traveler, he has explored countries across Central and South America, Asia, and Europe. His creativity shapes the worship services he designs, and his love for dogs is never far from the surface. Through ministry, study, and community, Richard continues to nurture a faith that is both grounded and adventurous.
